X-Dreamers
"X" stands for the Cross — dreamers who carry the Cross into the marketplace.
Joseph was 17 when God gave him a dream about his future. He spent the next 13 years in slavery and prison before that dream became reality. When it did, he ran the economy of the most powerful nation on earth and saved millions of lives. The dream never changed. What changed was Joseph's capacity to carry it.
The Joseph Pattern
Genesis 37 records that Joseph's brothers called him "this dreamer" as an insult. They threw him into a pit and sold him to traders heading to Egypt. The dreams God gave him looked dead for over a decade.
What makes Joseph's story remarkable is where his calling was fulfilled. He didn't serve God primarily in a temple or a religious community. He served God in Pharaoh's government, managing grain reserves, negotiating trade, and building the economic infrastructure that kept an entire region alive during seven years of famine. His spiritual life powered his marketplace leadership.
The body of Christ today has thousands of Josephs. They carry dreams from God about businesses, technologies, organizations, and initiatives that could bless communities and advance the kingdom. Many of those dreams remain unrealized. The dreamer has the vision but lacks the team, the resources, the mentorship, or the structure to move from idea to execution.
Why the Cross
We call ourselves Cross Dreamers because the Cross defines everything about how we dream. Joseph's path to the palace went through a pit, slavery, false accusation, and prison. The Cross is the pattern: death before resurrection, surrender before authority, faithfulness in obscurity before influence in public. Every kingdom dreamer who builds something lasting walks that same road.
The X in X-Dreamers is a reminder that marketplace success built on human ambition produces one kind of fruit, and marketplace calling built on the Cross produces another. Joseph could have used his position in Egypt for personal revenge or accumulation. Instead, he stewarded Pharaoh's economy to preserve life during famine, including the lives of the brothers who had betrayed him. The Cross shaped how he wielded power.
Turning Kingdom Dreams into Reality
X-Dreamers exists to close the gap between the dream God gives and the execution it requires.
Community
Dreamers working alone burn out or lose direction. A community of believers who share the same kingdom orientation provides accountability, encouragement, and the kind of honest feedback that sharpens vision. Joseph had no community during his wilderness years. We can build what he didn't have.
Mentorship
A God-given dream requires both spiritual discernment and practical wisdom to implement. Mentorship connects dreamers with experienced believers who have already navigated the challenges of building in the marketplace. They can help distinguish between a good idea and the right timing, between ambition and calling.
Resources & Strategy
Dreams fail for practical reasons as often as spiritual ones. X-Dreamers provides strategic support: help with business planning, technical architecture, fundraising guidance, and connecting the right people at the right stage. The goal is to remove the barriers between a kingdom dream and its first real steps.
Collaboration
Joseph succeeded because Pharaoh gave him a team and the authority to execute. Most kingdom dreamers today have neither. X-Dreamers creates spaces where believers with complementary skills can find each other: a developer who needs a business strategist, a ministry leader who needs technical infrastructure, a finance professional who needs a product vision.
The Heart Behind X-Dreamers
The body of Christ has always been strong in worship, prayer, and teaching. These foundations are essential. But when Joseph stood before Pharaoh, his value wasn't his prayer life alone. It was that his prayer life had produced a man who could interpret economic data, design a national food security program, and execute it across seven years of abundance and seven years of scarcity.
We believe God is raising up a new generation of Josephs. People who dream His dreams, who carry the Cross into their professional lives, and who are willing to serve wherever He places them. X-Dreamers exists to make sure those people don't walk alone.
